Fastrans PCS allows our clients to access near real-time information regarding projects you have with Fastrans Logistics. You can view the status of your Purchase Orders, transportation, receiving reports, on-hand inventory by part number, and many more useful features. As a Web based Internet application this information is available twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week as long as the user has been given permission to access the system.

Pre-installation Instructions

Before you begin using Fastrans PCS there are a few changes you need to make to your computer.

1. Our system requires the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.01 SP1 or higher. Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher is preferred. If you do not have this version you can download it for free from Microsoft.com or we can send you a copy on CD-ROM. Please contact your Fastrans representative for more details. The application is specific to this browser and will not work with Netscape or any other web browser. You can have multiple browsers on your computer without causing any conflicts.

2. The screen settings in your windows application must also be set to allow for minimum of an 800 X 600 display with at least 65536 colors or True Color. However, a higher color setting and 1024 X 768 is most desirable. Fastrans PCS contains lots of information and you won't be able to see all of your data unless the image area is adjusted.

3. The PCS application requires a 56KBPS modem, a Pentium level computer and at least 16MB of Ram. Before you begin using the application you need to contact your Fastrans Project Manager to obtain a user name, password and final instructions. We can assign an unlimited number of users to access your data. We can also limit access with a phone call should the need arise.

A few words of caution
Unlike other windows applications, you only need to click on an item once to drill down for further information. Do not double click your mouse.
